It is best known of its rich cultural heritage and glorious past in the forms of magnificent forts, elegant palaces and spectacular havelis constructed by its erstwhile rulers. You can see magnificent forts and palaces in most cities of Rajasthan. Tourists from all around the world come to Rajasthan to see and explore its historical forts and palaces. Most forts in the state are located on hills. There are six hill forts in the state that has been clustered together as a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Constructed and enhanced between the 5th and 18th centuries by several Rajput rajas of different kingdoms, the Hill Forts of Rajasthan showcases rich architectural styles and will never fail to lure you. The six forts are the following Chittor Fort (Chittorgarh), Kumbhalgarh Fort (Kumbhalgarh), Ranthambore Fort (Swami Madhopur), Gagron Fort (Jhalawar), Amer Fort (Amer, Jaipur),  and Golden Fort (Jaisalmer). Day 1
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

Upon arrival in Delhi, meet RAJPUTANA TOUR representative who will transfer you to the pre-booked hotel and will assist till the check-in procedure at the hotel for overnight stay. Freshen up and relax. Enjoy your dinner and stay overnight at the hotel. Enquire Now

Day 2
Day 2: Delhi - Jaipur Sightseeing (268 km / 5 hrs. approx.)

Have a very heart breakfast at the hotel, and then drive to Jaipur, the capital and largest city of Rajasthan. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel. Freshen up and relax. Thereafter proceed for Jaipur sightseeing covering key attractions like City Palace (a palace complex consisting of several elegant palaces, courtyards, gardens and temples), Hawa Mahal (the Palace of Winds – known for unique structure in 5 storey with 953 small windows called Jharokhas decorated with intricate latticework), Jantar Mantar (a Royal Observatory and UNESCO World Heritage Site), and Albert Hall Museum. In the evening, enjoy shopping in the local colorful markets of the city. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 3
Day 3: Jaipur - Ranthambore National Park (180 km / 3 hrs. approx.)

Early morning visit to Amer Fort, one of Six Hill Forts of Rajasthan, by Elephant Ride – Take an excursion to Amer Fort located atop a hill in the outskirts of Jaipur city, the Pink City of India. Enjoy elephant ride to ascend the fort complex. Experience the glorious past of the state exploring the spectacular architecture. Return to hotel en route visiting Jal Mahal, a palace built in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake. After breakfast, drive to Sawai Madhopur which is the site for Rajasthan’s famous Ranthambore National Park and Ranthambore Fort (one of Six Hill Forts of Rajasthan).

On arrival check in at the hotel. Later proceed for wildlife viewing in the wildlife sanctuary & tiger reserve. Ranthambore is one of the finest places in India to see the wild animals in their natural habitats .The sanctuary is best known for its large tiger population. Here you can easily spot a tiger. Also visit the Ranthambore Fort – the former hunting grounds of the Maharajahs of Jaipur until the time of India’s Independence. On time return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4
Day 4: Ranthambore - Chittorgarh (282 km / 5hrs. approx.)

Enjoy delicious breakfast at the hotel. Later proceed to Chittorgarh, a historical city and major tourist destination in the state of Rajasthan. Check in at the hotel. Have some rest .Later take a visit to the Chittor Fort (also called Chittorgarh Fort or simply Chittorgarh). The erstwhile capital of Mewar, Chittor Fort is one of the largest forts in India. Vijay Stambha, Kirti Stambha, Rana Kumbha Palace, Fateh Prakash Palace, Rani and Padmini’s Palace are popular attractions in Chittor Fort. ON time return to the hotel for dinner and overnight say.

Day 5
Day 5: Chittorgarh - Udaipur (110 km / 2 hrs.)

After having breakfast at the hotel, check out from hotel and drive to Udaipur – one of the most beautiful cities in the world which is also known as the ‘Venice of the East’. Due to infinite numbers of lakes, Udaipur is also called as the ‘City of Lakes’. One of the best honeymoon destinations in India. Upon arrival check in the hotel freshen up and proceed for sightseeing tour of the city. Visit City Palace, Saheliyon ki Bari and Jagdish Temple. Enjoy boat ride on Lake Pichola in evening. Day 6
Day 6: Udaipur - Ranakpur (91km) - Kumbhalgarh (30km) – Jodhpur (172km)

Post breakfast leave for Jodhpur, the second largest city of Rajasthan, also called Blue City or Sun City.

Ranakpur Jain Temple in Rakanpur – Dedicated to Tirthankara Rishabhanatha, the Ranakpur Jain Temple is known for distinctive impressive architecture and exquisitely detailed carvings. The temple complex includes several temples such as Chaumukha temple, Parsavanth temple, Surya temple and Amba temple. There are 1444 marble pillars, carved in exquisite detail, supporting the temple. The pillars are all differently carved and no two pillars are the same. It is also said that it is impossible to count the pillars.

Kumbhalgarh Fort in Kumbhalgarh – Kumbhalgarh Fort is a historic fort and one of the six Hill Forts of Rajasthan located in Kumbhalgarh Fort. It the birthplace of Maharana Pratap, the great Rajput King and warrior of Mewar. Situated on a hilltop the fort has perimeter walls that extend 36 kilometers. The wall of Kumbhalgarh is one of the longest walls in the world. There are seven fortified gateways. The fort complex houses 360 temples, 300 ancient Jain temples and rest Hindu temples.

Continue journey to Jodhpur – On arrival in Jodhpur, check in at your pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 7
Day 7: Jodhpur Sightseeing

Post breakfast at your hotel, embark on full day Jodhpur city tour. Take a visit to the impressive Mehrangarh Fort – one of the six Hill Forts of Rajasthan. See the Fort Museum, Moti Mahal, Phool Mahal, Sheesha Mahal, and Daulat Khana within the fort complex. See the wonderful views of the Jodhpur city around from the ramparts of the fort complex. The Fort Museum features a fantastic collection of palanquins, howdahs, royal cradles, miniatures, musical instruments, costumes, and furniture. Later, take a visit to the Umaid Bhawan Palace – one of the world’s largest private residences. Thereafter, take visits to the other key attractions of the city including Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower), and Jaswant Thada Memorial built in the memory of f Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Explore local handicraft markets in the evening. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 8
Day 8: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer (280 km / 4 - 5 hrs. approx.)

Post your breakfast you will be driven to Jaisalmer. Another popular tourist destination in Rajasthan known as ‘Golden City’ popular for its ravishing Havelis, magnificent Palaces, Forts and vibrant bazaars. Upon arrival check-in at the pre-booked hotel. Spend rest of the day at leisure or explore nearby places. Dinner and overnight stay will be at hotel.

Day 9
Day 9: Jaisalmer Sightseeing

After breakfast, take a visit to the Golden Fort – on of the six Hill Forts of Rajasthan. Built in yellow-sandstone, the Golden Fort (also called Sonar Kila or Jaisalmer Fort), is the second largest forts in the state of Rajasthan. It is also the only living fort in the world. The fort complex houses many beautiful structures. Explore the fort complex visiting Merchant Havelis, Laxminath Temple and Rang Mahal palace. Later visit Patwon-Ki-Haveli and Salim-Singh-Ki-Haveli. Haveli of Jaisalmer are best known for their exquisite sandstone carvings.

Have a relaxed breakfast at the hotel and proceed for sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer. Visit Jaisalmer Fort one of the very few or perhaps the only ‘living fort’. Almost one-fourth of total population of old city still lives within the fort. Within the fort there are Havelis, Jain Temple and five interconnected Palaces. Later visit Patwon-Ki-Haveli and Manak Chowk and Haveli – a market place by local souvenir. In the evening, take an excursion to Sam Sand Dunes to watch sunset and enjoy camel ride in Thar Desert. Enjoy folk dances and musical performances in the desert. On time return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10
Day 10: Jaisalmer -Jodhpur - Departure

Great trip

I can not recommend Rajputana tours highly enough . From start to finish they provided a very professional service . The tour was arranged by Shakti the owner his advice was amazing and we spoke several times during the booking and his recommendations were amazing

When we arrived in India we had a 5 STAR treatment the whole time his drivers were fantastic not only did they drive us to the different destinations they remained with us and suggested restaurants , took us shopping arranged massages even took charge of our laundry !!!!

Shakti kept in contact with us the whole time we were in India . The tour guides were also very knowledgeable and we had some wonderful days
